I’m shaking a bit on my legs and some tears in my eyes… when I look back from where I came and seeing quite all the eyebrows and clucking tongues when I started with Spioenkop Wines in Elgin. Now 12 years after planting my first vines I’m awarded “FIRST GROWTH” in South Africa by Tim Atkin. Not sure if I’m ready to keep this honour!
